Matthew Keaveny, a.k.a Keely B the talented singer/songwriter/musician was born and raised in Kingston Jamaica. From an early age his parents realised his musical talents, so they enrolled him in piano lessons when he was only seven. While in Prep school, he sang and the school choir and also performed at lunchtime among friends while palying beats on the classroom desk. Upon reaching high school, he later joined his close friend's Disco called Uptempo and started doing MC gigs at various parties and also clubs, it was through this experience that he was able to explore music from all different time periods, which would later have a great impact on his own music. While still in high school, he began working with U.I.M productions which was his close friend's brothers label and it was through this alliance that Keely B's music career realy started. One day at the studio, Shawn Krucial the CEO of U.I.M productions was working on a compilation and he heard Keely humming a melody and he encorouged him to lay it down. After laying it down and Andrew a.k.a Anju Blaxx and Shawn listened back to it, they realised that Keely could realy sing, so they encorouged him to take it seriously and think about recording an album. Keely B made his first mark on the international scene when his first album produced by U.I.M Productions was released by a Negril West/Orpheous Music which were both based in New York. The first single of the album entitled Kal-i-4-nia Dreamn made its way unto the Billboard R&B/HipHop Singles charts. While promoting the album he performed at various shows in New York, Boston, Miami, Jamaica and also Reggae International Superstars in Toronto Canada at the Air Canada Arena which a had an audience of over 5,000 people or more. Since the release of his first album, Keely B has been working closely with U.I.M Production team as a songwriter/singer and musician. He has collaborated, and written songs for artist such as Yung Berg, Lil Cali, Nipsey Hustle, Lil Henchman, Platinum Status, Sizzla, Ghost, Cutty Ranks,Digicel Rising Star Jodi-Ann Pantry and more. Recently he traveled to New York with the U.I.M Production team to do tracks and write for various well known international artists signed to Major labels with upcoming projects, such as Universal and Epic Records to name a few. He continues to get alot of love back home in Jamaica and recently had three new singles released by U.I.M Productions that have been receiving good airplay in Jamaica and also on the club scene in Texas, and in Cleveland Ohio. Keely B is an artist to look out for in the near future doing big things, he continues to work hard towards getting that real big break and like his friends say his music just keeps getting better and better. He's been cosigned by Mikey Bennet (Producer/Songwriter extradinaire),Anju Blaxx (Producer genius), Elephant Man, Rory (Stone Love Sound), Norrisman, Buju Banton and many other well known figures in the music world.
